Today I watched an inspiring periscope video by Nicole Walters, Blogger and owner of http://monetizethyself.com/about/ . Nicole decided to quit her six figure job to pursue her passion after working for fortune 500 companies and closing billion dollar deals. Nicole decided to step out on faith and believe God to give her the grace to close billion dollar deals for herself therefore, she quit her job. While watching Nicole go through the nervousness of calling her boss to inform him of her resignation she said something powerful “Quitting your job is a promotion to your purpose” . Such powerful words to say the least. Those words impacted me and made me think about who I am, and who I belong to. We often hold on to jobs like a child holds on to their favorite blanket, or stuffed animal because they provide comfort and stability. If we could only hold on to the promises of God in that matter; and realize that God is our source, and believe that NO job can provide what God has ordained for our destiny and purpose. I encourage anyone who’s dreaming and pursuing their dreams; to believe that you were NOT created to stay complacent in a job that limits your ability to fulfill your God given purpose. If you are currently working on a job and living in fear of losing that job here’s a reminder that God has greater for your life than where you are now. It reminds me of this scripture “Habakkuk 2:3 ” For the vision is yet for the appointed time; but at the end it shall speak, and not lie, though it tarries, wait for it, because it will surely come. it will not delay.”
Don’t give up on your dreams… If you lose your job today, know that it’s all apart of Gods divine plan to set you up to land firmly on your feet into your God given purpose. May you pursue what God has ordained for your life, May you refused to settle or accept mediocrity, I pray that you will remain in faith and trust God through every season of your life.
Be Encouraged!
I watched the replay of Nicole quitting her job. I paused it and cried and prayed that God will bless her beyond all that she can imagine. I was so inspired watching her do what some only dream to do. Great post! #BLMgirl
