As you can tell I love Brunch! Therefore, you can catch me brunching around Los Angeles quite frequently. After attending church services it’s only right to cap off a good word with some good food. I decided on My Two Cents. http://mytwocentsla.com/ located in Los Angeles on Pico Blvd. right down the street from LA’s staple Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles. I decided to pass up Roscoes and opt for the trendy new spot up the street My Two Cents. It’s a small spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The crowd is a mixture of young , and seasoned folks coupled with many different nationalities all looking to try out the southern inspired cuisine. The best items on the menu in my opinion is the Shrimp & Grits, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Short Rib taco. Yes!!! Delicious. However, the portion size is a bit smaller than I’m use to, but probably should be the amount I need to be eating anyways. Lol!
Today I had the chicken and waffles, cheesy grits, and egg. The waffle was stuffed with chicken bits inside which was different for me… But it was good! The cheesy grits were done right however, the egg wasn’t cooked enough to my liking… but hey it made for a good presentation. Sunday Brunch is usually crowded so arrive early. Don’t forget to grab some homemade goodies before leaving the desserts looked yummy! They also offer vegan and gluten free options which is always nice when you’re in LA cause there’s always somebody around who’s vegan.
Food looks yummy, especially those grits. I’m always looking for good food places in LA to check out when I visit, so I’ll have to save this one #BLMgirl
