I scored a media pass to LA Weekly’s “Brunch At The Races”. I was so excited to attend because Brunching around LA has become somewhat a tradition for me. Kinda like Tea Parties.. which is one of my favorite past times as well. Brunch At The Races was held at Santa Anita Park in the beautiful city of Arcadia , CA. Situated right below the San Gabriel mountains. The weather was lovely and super HOT!
Brunch At The Races is Curated by LA Weekly’s food writer Garrett Snyder, this event featured brunch bites from some of the city’s best including: All’Acqua, Chago Ahodagas, Dupar’s, Four Cafe, Jones Coffee Roasters, L.A. Chapter, L&E Oyster Bar, Little Dom’s, Mendocino Farms, Moore’s Delicatessen, Myke’s Cafe, Pez Cantina, Poppy + Rose, Sonny’s Hideaway, Sotto, The Hart & The Hunter and Wolf and many more.
Although I didn’t have VIP passes I was allowed inside with my media clearance to capture the perks inside the VIP lounge. Tickets were slightly higher in price. VIP guest were given gift bags and access to a cool photo booth with fun props.
I tried to grab one of these bad boys but was quickly redirected. Lol! It’s just one bag geesh! VIP guest also had their own seating, complimentary bar , and food stations set up. I think I may need VIP clearance next year.
One of my favorite restaurants served their signature brunch item #ChickenAndWaffles topped with delicious maple bacon. Yum!
I love this meal from Open Sesame definitely in my top five of best Mediterranean restaurants in Los Angeles. I wanted more!!!
